This conference will address the challenges in studying the dynamics of gravitational systems in gaseous environments, bringing together researchers from different strands in astrophysics, to share their techniques and ideas as well as create new ones. This conference will serve as a bridge between several communities (e.g. researchers specialized in active galactic nuclei, protoplanetary disks and globular clusters), who deal with the same physical problems in different settings, but rarely share their techniques with each other. We plan to bring together ~50 worldwide experts to discuss these problems and join us for a week of adventures in dynamics!
Topics include:
Binaries in gaseous systems on all scales - from protoplanetary disks, via AGN disks, to the last parsec problem
Modelling dynamical friction
Dynamics in gas-rich clusters
Modelling of self-gravitating astrophysical fluid disks
Modelling of tidal interactions and their effects on orbits
Formation of gravitational-waves sources in dissipative environments
Important dates:
Abstract submission deadline: 7 March 2025.
Registration closes: 1 April 2025. Late registration closes 15 April 2025
Conference: 2-6 June 2025.
