Please check on here for all Concert related information. This will be regularly updated as well as the information being e-mailed out to you. We hope that having everything in the one place will be helpful for you. We will also send notications via the BAND app.

Concert Date - Saturday 29th November 2025

Students will need to be available for the whole day as we have a full dress rehearsal in the morning then two performances. All students are required for both performances. Speeches and Awards at end of evening performance.

Location: Glen Street Theatre Cnr Glen Street & Blackbutts Road, Belrose

Concert Rehearsals

Full cast required for all rehearsals:

Saturday 8th November -

Main Characters: 8.00 – 9.00am
Pre-Primary & Primary: 11.00am – 1.00pm

Full Cast Rehearsals (see attached class breakdown):

Act 1: 9.00am – 12.00pm
Act 2: 12.30pm – 3.30pm

Finale: All students (excluding Pre-Primary & Primary) must return for 3.00 – 3.30pm.

Saturday 15th November - Full Dress Rehearsal including hair (no make up) @ Newport Public School

Main Characters: 8.00 – 9.00am
Pre-Primary & Primary: 11.00am – 1.00pm

Full Cast Rehearsals (see attached class breakdown):

Act 1: 9.00am – 12.00pm
Act 2: 12.30pm – 3.30pm

Finale: All students (excluding Pre-Primary & Primary) must return for 3.00 – 3.30pm.

Frequently asked questions

Is my child in both performances?

Yes

Does my child need to wear makeup?

Yes - the strong stage lighting drowns out their features - we need some stage make up to bring out their features so that you can easily pick out your little star amongst their peers.

What time is my child's rehearsal?

Please refer to Issue 1 Newsletter for all rehearsals at Newport Public School and Issue 2 Newsletter for Concert Day rehearsal at Glen Street Theatre

Will my child be at the theatre all day on concert day?

Issue 2 Newsletter will outline the times of the day and whether there is time for them to be collected between rehearsals and performances etc.

Do they come to the theatre in costumes?

They must arrive fully dressed in costume, hair and makeup

What do they wear underneath the costumes?

No underwear underneath ballet costumes, bodystocking may be worn if suitable, this will be noted on the final costume listing newsletter

How do I do a ballet bun?

Who will change my child backstage?

We have parent helpers and senior students who will be able to assist . If you wish to be a parent helper, please sign up via BAND app.
