Michal Reznizki and David Coad met during graduate school. They both hold PhDs from UC Davis, where they focused on composition pedagogy. For the past 10+ years, they have been deeply invested in teaching first-year composition (FYC) courses and working to develop active-learning-based approaches to FYC pedagogies in their classes.
Michal Reznizki, PhD is a lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley. She is very passionate about the teaching of writing and has been teaching first-year composition courses focused on the rhetoric of science. She has published in the journal Currents in Teaching and Learning and has an upcoming publication in College Composition and Communication.
David T. Coad, PhD is a lecturer at Santa Clara University and San José State University in northern California. His research interests include digital, multimodal, and social media composition pedagogies. He has published in Kairos, Computers and Composition, and the Journal of Interactive Technology and Pedagogy.
