1. Overview

Dynamic Island ("we", "our", or "the app") is designed to provide customizable floating capsule and overlay notification experiences on Android devices.

Your privacy is our top priority. The app operates completely offline and does not require or declare the Android Internet permission (android.permission.INTERNET). The app does not collect, record, store remotely, or transmit any personal, sensitive, or usage data off your device.

2. Prominent Disclosure: Accessibility Service API

In strict compliance with Google Play’s Accessibility API Policy, we provide the following prominent disclosure:

• Why we use the Accessibility Service API:
  Dynamic Island uses the Android Accessibility Service API (MAccessibilityService) solely to:

  1. Display a dynamic floating overlay (notch / capsule interface) on top of the screen across other applications.

  2. Detect hardware or interaction events (such as touches, volume button responses, and screen state changes) necessary to control and reposition the dynamic overlay.

• No Data Collection or Transmission:
  The Accessibility Service never records your keystrokes, personal communications, passwords, financial details, or screen content. No data processed through this service is saved to disk or transmitted to any external server.

3. Prominent Disclosure: Notification Access

• Notification Listener Service (NotificationListenerService):
  To display active notifications (such as incoming calls, battery alerts, messaging alerts, and media player controls) inside the floating dynamic pill, the app requests access to your notifications.

• Local Processing Only:
  Notification data (app icon, title, text, and playback actions) is processed entirely in your device's local memory (RAM) in real time solely to render the visual capsule. We do not save, analyze, log, or export your notifications.

4. Other Permissions & Local Device Access

All permissions requested by Dynamic Island are used strictly for local on-device features:

• Bluetooth (BLUETOOTH / BLUETOOTH_CONNECT):
  Used locally to detect when wireless headphones/earbuds connect or disconnect, triggering the capsule connection animation.

• Phone State (READ_PHONE_STATE):
  Used strictly to detect incoming and active call states to present the capsule call-heads-up display and to display carrier/mobile data status in quick settings. We do not access call logs or audio.

• Storage / Photos (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE):
  Used exclusively when you choose a custom background image or save a custom wallpaper from your gallery. We do not access any other personal media or documents.

• Overlay (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW):
  Used to draw the floating island interface over other applications.

• Wi-Fi & System Settings (ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, WRITE_SETTINGS):
  Used locally to query connectivity status and provide quick toggle controls.

5. Data Collection, Sharing, and Third Parties

• Personal Data Collected: None.

• Internet & Network Transmission: The app does not possess internet access permissions. It is technically impossible for the application to transmit data over the internet.

• Third-Party SDKs & Advertising: The app contains no advertising SDKs (e.g., AdMob, Unity Ads), no analytics SDKs (e.g., Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics), and no tracking or telemetry tools.

• Third-Party Data Sharing: Because we do not collect or transmit data, no user data is ever sold, rented, shared, or disclosed to third parties.

6. External Links

The app contains standard Android intents that redirect to third-party services only when you explicitly tap on them:

• Opening the Google Play Store to rate the app or view additional apps by the developer.

• Initiating standard Android system share intents (e.g., sharing an app recommendation link).

These interactions are handled entirely by external applications (e.g., Google Play Store, browser) and are governed by their respective privacy policies.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our application does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Dynamic Island is fully compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play Families Policies.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Since Dynamic Island does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to any external server or cloud database, there is no remote data retention. All app preferences (e.g., pill position, color settings) are stored locally on your device and are immediately erased if you clear the app cache/data or uninstall the app.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect any feature updates. Any modifications will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date.
