While working at Ellison Ellery Marketing & Growth Agency, I spearheaded the development of a branding + messaging guide for a major public university. All copy was written by me, and I led the strategy and ideation phases of messaging development.
Completed over the summer of 2019, this project entailed creating packaging copy for an upcoming brand of ready-made cocktail mixers. I created custom copy for several different drinks in a romance style as requested by the client, drawing on past bartending experience and utilizing examples of similar content sent over by the client.

"The margarita, like memories of warm sun and good company, is a piece of summer swirling in your glass. With a touch of orange zest, a whisper of salt, and tart swells of lime, this classic cocktail will have you lost in fantasies of white-sand beaches stippled with a kaleidoscope of umbrellas, the water so blue it mixes with the sky. "

I've worked extensively with writing, designing, and building workflows for email campaigns across platforms like HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, MailJet, and Constant Contact, and more.

At 97 Display, I wrote and managed dozens of email marketing campaigns for small businesses across the U.S. in industries ranging from home services to martial arts to real estate, conducting research on industry-specific statistics in order to optimize the performance of each campaign. Initial campaign sends often saw as high as 60-80% engagement rates and upwards of 15% click-through rates in industries where the numerical averages were around 20% for open rates and 2% for click-through.
At Ellison Ellery, I've continued working with email for a broad variety of marketing campaigns, both in-house and for clients.

As the lead copywriter at 97 Display I worked on hundreds of client websites, creating SEO-rich program pages designed to bolster organic search rankings and drive conversion. Although our company's focus was primarily on the fitness and martial arts industries, I wrote web copy for coworking spaces, HVAC, home repair, real estate, mortgage brokers, and more, conducting keyword research and learning more about specific industries as necessary.

It's worth noting that these businesses are now at the top of search rankings for their respective keywords and locations. (I can't take all the credit, but effective web copy certainly helps!)
I've written ad copy for a variety of campaigns across a spectrum of industries. Below, you can find an example of ad copy I wrote recently to promote a webinar run by Tiber Health—the goal of this campaign was to attract potential medical students who may fall just short of med school admission, then sell them on a MSMS (Master of Science in Medical Science) program that would de-risk them as candidates and improve their chances of admission in the future.

The workshop below was created and designed entirely by me and delivered successfully to marketing research PhDs and College of Business staff for Western Carolina University. I served as the editor for an informational book, which is now available Amazon, about the Miniature Australian Shepherd breed. This freelance project, completed in late 2019, involved developing an unfinished manuscript by adding new content as well as by sharpening preexisting content.
