What is Mugen?
Mugen (stylized as M.U.G.E.N, also written as MUGEN) (pronounced as "moo-gen", with hard "g" as in "get") is a freeware fighting game engine created by Elecbyte, with its content being made by the community, including myself. If you want to know what Mugen is, you can check out here.
What is Ikemen (GO)?
Ikemen (GO) is a clone/remake of Mugen that is open-source. This one contains some modes and stuff that the original Mugen does not have. With the release of Ikemen (GO), some people started creating content exclusively for Ikemen (GO), but in my case, I'll stay with creating content for Mugen 1.0 and up.
Can I get Mugen for my mobile device?
I'm afraid not. Mugen (as well as Ikemen (GO)) is only available for PC, including Windows and Linux (and I think macOS too), and previously for DOS, but I doubt it will be released for mobile devices. I have seen some people actually run Mugen on mobile, however, though I have no idea how.
Can I edit/make a A.I. patch for your character?
If you want to edit my characters, you need to get permission from me first, and if I give you it, you can edit my character, but please DO NOT add anything I don't like into them!
As for A.I. patches, you don't need permission, and you can make them without asking me for it, so if you feel like doing a A.I. patch for my characters, then go ahead!
Oh, and just a reminder: make sure you change the author field in the .def file to avoid confusions I made this edit even if I didn't make it!
Do you take requests?/Can you do (character) vs (character) please?
Absolutely not and never. This is because I cannot focus on doing Mugen-related requests, not to mention that I do not always have free time and I also prefer doing some other stuff in my free time. So, please go ask someone else, not me. The magic word "please" will also never help you in this case.
When it comes to creation requests, sometimes they can be considered as ideas, but I cannot guarantee I'll make them. I mainly do it if I'm either interested or I've been planning to do the character actually earlier before deciding to do them after some time.
Do your characters have custom A.I?
Yes, they do.
Why are your characters and stages only for Mugen 1.0 and up?
This is because older versions of Mugen (DOS versions and WinMUGEN) are outdated, and since most people use Mugen 1.0 and up, this is why I make them only for Mugen 1.0 and up. Another reason why I do not do WinMUGEN versions of my characters is because of cheapies and their dangerous and controversial community. If you want to know why most cheapies are controversial and dangerous, you can check out here.
Do you make collabs in creating characters?
I do, but rarely. If someone would suggest collaborating with me (in case if they wanted to do something, such as the sprites and I would do the rest), I might do it.
How long does it take for you to make a character?
I don't know. Usually a few weeks or around a month or two.
Why did you overhaul four of your characters' sprites? They didn't look too bad.
For some, they might look decent, but for me, they look very poor (with one exception, though) and inaccurate and I completely felt unproud of them after some time, which resulted in me overhauling their sprites for the better.
Do you release characters in unfinished states and then update them to be finished?
Of course not. This is because I don't want to rush a character just to make it in less than a week, not to mention that I sometimes do something else instead of just working on characters.
Why were you known as "BartekZioomPro" on some places like DeviantArt back then?
Back in November 2017, I created a "silly" alias of BartekZioomPro. Today, I no longer like that alias, since the "Pro" is a really poor decoration that I've put because I thought it was "silly" back then. I do have to go with that alias sometimes, but maybe not forever.
Also, if you spot any fakers using the "BartekZioomPro" alias, then it's not me. I'm the real BartekZioomPro/DeluxeGamer705.
Do you work on two or more characters at once?
I mostly work only on one character at the time, so that I can have more space when working on a character. Sometimes, examples exist, but then I temporarily stop the creation and then resume once I'm done with a different one.
I downloaded your creation, but my anti-virus says it's a malware/trojan!
It could apply to the command files. Sometimes antiviruses and security systems/softwares in your computer can recognize them as malware and won't allow you to download them. This is actually a false positive; if it keeps happening, try turning them off and try again. If it works, turn it on again and see if everything will work fine.
There was however an outbreak about security systems (especially in Windows) where Machine Learning started being used to guess if the file is save or not, but it began creating a lot of false positives. If that happens, find a place where you'll download my characters and in your settings, put the folder in the exclude section to make it work.
I'm not a fan of your creations...
I understand. If you don't like them, then just don't play as them and just ignore them. I don't recommend bashing them though - there are far better ways to spend your time.
