I have enjoyed a three-decade career in language teaching in Maine high schools and the University of Maine, and freelance translation of a variety of professional and personal documents. I would love to help you with your language learning and translation needs!

Services provided and rates:

• One-on-one or small group tutoring of students ages 12-adult, English, French, Italian, Latin, or Spanish; $40/hr. In-person or on Zoom.

• Translation of literary, professional, and genealogical documents, French-English, Latin-English, or Spanish-English: contact me for a quote. $50 minimum.

• Interested in a language that is not one of the languages I offer? I want to encourage your learning and will recommend resources to you without charging you for that service!

Tutoring policies:

• $40 / hour, on Zoom or in person. I am happy to tutor two or more students at a time for that hourly fee (siblings, classmates, etc.) and leave it to the families to determine how they arrange payment.

• It is the responsibility of the student or his/her family to provide or identify a location for tutoring.

• If a student under the age of 18 is to be tutored in her/his home, I require that an adult relative be present in the home during the entire lesson.

• If a student is a no-show for a lesson and I am not notified beforehand by e-mail, text, or call (last minute is fine, kids do get sick), I will assess the fee for that day's lesson.
