DwellKeep ("the App") is a household inventory application that helps users document their belongings for home insurance, disaster preparedness, and personal records. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and store it, and your rights regarding your data.
By downloading or using DwellKeep, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
This policy is designed to comply with Google Play's Data Safety requirements, Apple App Store Privacy Nutrition Label requirements, and applicable data protection regulations.
Item names, descriptions, categories, rooms, brands, model numbers, serial numbers, purchase dates, and estimated values
Room names and custom labels
Free-text notes attached to items
Photos you take with your camera or select from your photo library
Scanned receipts, warranty documents, manuals, and other attachments
These files are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to cloud storage
If you choose to sign in with Google to enable cloud backup, we receive from Google:

Profile photo URL
A unique Google account identifier (UID)
Google Sign-In is entirely optional. All App features except cloud sync are available without signing in.
When you subscribe to DwellKeep Premium, Google Play processes your payment. We receive only your subscription status and entitlement — never your payment card details.

We do not use your data for advertising, behavioral profiling, or any purpose not listed above.
Important: DwellKeep's AI features (Receipt Scanner, Item Valuation, and Inventory Assistant) are powered by the Anthropic Claude API, a third-party AI service.
Before any data is sent to Anthropic's servers, the App will:
Display a clear notice that your photo or text will be processed by an AI service
Require your active action (tapping a button) to initiate the request
Never send data to Anthropic automatically or in the background
What is sent to Anthropic:
Only the specific photo or text you submit for that individual AI request
Your full inventory, personal information, or Google account details are never sent to Anthropic

Free accounts receive 2 lifetime AI uses. Premium subscribers have unlimited access.
All inventory items, room data, attachments, and app settings are stored locally on your device using Android shared preferences and local file storage. This data is only on your device unless you enable cloud backup.
If you sign in with Google and enable cloud backup, your inventory items and room data are synced to Google Firebase Firestore. Your data is:
Encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest
Accessible only to your authenticated Google account
Not accessible to other users or to DwellKeep for any purpose other than syncing your data back to you
Photos and file attachments are not uploaded to the cloud in the current version. They remain on your device.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. The following third-party services are used to operate the App:
Purpose: Google Sign-In authentication and Cloud Firestore database for optional cloud backup
Data shared: Google UID, display name, email (Auth); inventory items and room data (Firestore, if backup enabled)

Purpose: Retrieves product information when you scan a barcode
Data shared: The barcode value only — no personal information

Why we need it: To photograph items, receipts, barcodes, and documents within the App.
How it's used: Only when you tap a camera button in the App. Never accessed in the background.
Photos are saved to your device's local storage and attached to your inventory items.
Why we need it: To let you select existing photos from your device to attach to items.
How it's used: Only when you tap "Choose from library." We access only the specific image you select, not your full photo library.
Compliance: DwellKeep complies with Google Play's Photo and Video Permissions policy.
You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device's Settings without uninstalling the App. Revoking camera access disables photo capture and barcode scanning. Revoking media access disables selecting existing photos.
The following is provided to align with Google Play's Data Safety section requirements. The Data Safety section in the Play Console must match this policy exactly.

No data is sold. No data is used for advertising or marketing.
For future iOS/App Store submission, the following disclosures apply to App Store Connect Privacy questionnaire:
Contact Info (Email): Collected, used for app functionality (cloud sync), not linked to identity for analytics
Identifiers (User ID): Firebase UID — used for app functionality (cloud sync)
Photos / Videos: Collected, used for app functionality, not sent to third parties
User Content (inventory data): Collected, used for app functionality, synced to Firebase if backup enabled
Purchases: Handled by Apple/Google — declare RevenueCat receives purchase status
Data Not Collected: Location, browsing history, contacts, health, financial info
Third-party SDK privacy manifests required for: Firebase iOS SDK, RevenueCat iOS SDK.
Local data: Retained on your device until you delete items or uninstall the App
Cloud data (Firestore): Retained until you request deletion or delete your account
AI request data: Not retained by DwellKeep. Subject to Anthropic's retention policy.
Purchase records: Managed by Google Play and RevenueCat per their policies
DwellKeep is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us at jandastoresllc@gmail.com and we will delete it within 7 days.
View your data: All inventory data is visible within the App at all times
Export your data: Settings → Export Data generates a complete JSON backup of your inventory
Delete items: Delete individual items, rooms, or attachments within the App
Delete all local data: Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data
Delete cloud data: Email jandastoresllc@gmail.com with subject "Data Deletion Request." We will delete your Firestore data within 30 days and confirm by email.
Revoke Google access: Sign out within Settings, or visit https://myaccount.google.com/permissions to revoke DwellKeep's access to your Google account
Opt out of AI features: Simply do not use AI features. No data is sent to Anthropic unless you initiate an AI request.
All cloud data is transmitted over TLS (HTTPS)
Firestore access is restricted to your authenticated Google UID
We do not store passwords — authentication is handled entirely by Google
Payment processing is handled by Google Play; we never receive card details
We may update this policy as the App adds features. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect changes. For material changes, we will display an in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
