About Me
Since December 2020, I work at the AI & Modeling Center of Excellence at KLA Corporation in Ann Arbor, MI. KLA is a global leader in diversified electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem. As Senior AI/Algorithms Engineering Manager, I lead teams of talented engineers developing algorithms for our current and future products.
From 2014 to 2020, I was Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Virginia. My lab focused on image reconstruction, processing, and analysis, such as fast and motion-robust magnetic resonance imaging for cardiac and body-imaging applications, and enhancement and visualization of optical microscope images for neuroscience. I had courtesy appointments in Biomedical Engineering and Radiology and Medical Imaging.
From 2012 until 2014, I was a post-doctoral fellow supported by an NIH National Research Service Award (F32 EB015914) at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, where I worked with Jeffrey Fessler and Douglas Noll. In June 2012 and June 2008, I received my Ph.D. and S.M. in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where I worked with Vivek Goyal (now at Boston University). Earlier, I received my B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering with honors from Carnegie Mellon University in May 2006.
I am a senior member of IEEE. As a student, I was inducted to both Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu.
Research Interests
Computational imaging, including light microscopy and biomedical modalities such as magnetic resonance imaging
Signal processing and estimation methods for model-based and data-driven reconstruction and image processing and analysis
Education and Outreach
I taught several undergraduate and graduate courses related to signal processing and biomedical imaging.
I also lead a number of outreach efforts and professional service activities.
