The DWCL High School Library serves as the school's hub of information for students study and research. In addition to the library's book collection, our students, staff, and faculty regularly avail themselves of numerous periodicals, special collections, and instructional videos that the library offers. Students and faculty also make good use of the library's computers which connect them to the library resources, email and the internet.
MISSION
To acquire, and make readily available, print and non-print information resources in accordance with the diverse academic needs of the school. Promoting the use of these resources is also central to the library mission.
OBJECTIVES
As an integral part of the teaching and learning community, the library aims to
Provide a wide range of print and non-print resources relevant to the curriculum and recreational needs of the users ;
Promote a reading culture which supports and enriches, reading for pleasure and develops an appreciation of literature
Promote information literacy across the curriculum, in collaboration with classroom teachers, thereby ensuring that students are empowered to be lifelong independent learnes and confident users of information.
Library Hours
Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
