During my time with the 1000, i recall at least 2 firmware updates over the past 7+ years. The FZ2000 is itself a 5-6 year old camera model. Yet it still seems to be on firmware version 1.0 ... I've done a bit of searching online for a newer firmware, yet can't seem to find anything..

I upgraded an epmp 2000 ap to 3.5.1 After upgrading, the GPS firmware was outdated, so I loaded the 3.5.1 firmware to the GPS upgrade. After upgrading and rebooting, I have no gps. The firmware version says 'Not available'. and there is no box available to attempt reloading the gps firmware.

I upgraded to 3.5.1 as well. I am seeing the same issue with the firmware upgrade for GPS on the ePMP 1000. I do not see GPS firmware available on the download page. current GPS firmware is AXN_3.20_8174.

Here is the notification I received on the AP: 08:41:24 On-Board GPS Chip requires a firmware upgrade. Please go to the Tools->Software Upgrade->GPS Firmware Upgrade subsection to perform the upgrade.

If you have the GPS not reporting firmware version issue (showing as NA in the GUI), the GPS chip needs to be re-flashed. The procedure cannot be done from the GUI, but only as "root". Only Cambium support personnel can help you with this. Please submit a support request (go here, login and submit a request from the button on the upper right side of the page) so that a support team member can help you.

I am trying to update the firmware. I see 2 files/versions, one for North America (WN2000RPT-V1.0.1.24NA.img) the other for elsewhere (WN2000RPT-V1.0.1.24.img). No matter which one I try, I get the a firmware region error.

In previous firmwares you could browse while seeing the album art, track name, and whatever default sort category you chose simultaneously for every track in the playlist, fitting on the screen. If you then hit sort you could still browse by album art, track name, and whatever sort category you chose for every track in the playlist fitting on the screen. This worked exactly like v1.43 on my 2000nxs-m.

In v4.33 The Default sort only shows the track number and titles (cut off) simultaneously and the Album Art for the single highlighted track. When sorting by bpm it will only show you track number(pretty useless) Track name, and then BPM. It will not show the three most useful categories like in the 2000nxs v1.43

In the more recent firmwares the same functionality has been removed making it much more difficult to browse for music and DJ in general. These browsing changes happen to be coincident with the release of later models. In the US there are laws against software obsolescence, and as a long time pioneer supporter, someone who has literally worked in an authorized pioneer repair shop, and as someone who has maintained two cdj2000mk1s for many years I am disappointed that their firmware is arbitrarily so much worse. This is unethical and surprising given the price of these players.

I really hope I am just doing something wrong, but there doesn't seem to be any setting in rekord box or on the players to regain the functionality they had when I bought them. Please take my email with a grain of salt and help me regain functionality and respective satisfaction for Pioneer DJ. It seems like the easiest way to do that would be to give me old firmwares.

The engineering team has confirmed your pictures and they are displaying correctly.Unfortunately, no change has made with the v.4.33."the album art, track name, and whatever default sort category you chose simultaneously for every track in the playlist,"This feature is from CDJ-2000NXS and CDJ-2000 displays like you had mentioned. The serial numbers of the tracks shows on CDJ-2000 when you select playlists."When sorting by bpm it will only show you track number(pretty useless) Track name, and then BPM"That's normal. Also as you can see in the manual, it's default to show track name and artist. It's not showing the number because the list is not the playlist.

I obviously understand 4.33 is the latest firmware, and that everything is displaying "correctly". 4.33 is a software downgrade to the device compared to previous firmwares. This is obviously intentional downgrades to encourage buying newer model players.

The features seen on my cdj2000nxs using an older firmware,1.43, used to also be on the cdj2000mk1. I have DJ'd with those features from previous firmwares for years. Those features from the previous firmwares were removed at some point with more recent firmwares. Please give me an older firmware so I can regain the improved functionality that my cdj2000mk1's had with previous firmwares.

Pioneer removed critical functionality on cdj2000mk1's (as well as other players) making it very hard to browse for music. I am seeking previous firmwares outside of pioneer because they do not want to provide me a previous one. I hope I am able to role back my firmware by following the firmware update procedures with a previous firmware. If anyone has copies of previous firmwares I would really appreciate it if they sent them to me. I have found firmware 1.43 for the cdj2000nxs online. I may see if that works on the cdj2000 mk1s.

TLDR:Please send me old firmware files for the cdj2000mk1 because the latest firmwares remove functionality and are an example of unethical planned software obsolescence. Pioneer does not intend to help with this.

Update 1: I am currently working with Pioneer to get/test older firmwares. If the issue is not the firmware it may be due to a Rekordbox update changing how the memory is formatted. I hope Pioneer is able to resolve this issue and I would be satisfied with their service and products if they do end up fixing it.

If everything is stable and working as you like without any problems then there is no real need to change anything.

However, if you have any support issues then you might be asked to upgrade to the latest firmware to rule out any issues that older firmware might have had.

You'll need to download the firmware file from here:

In the folder for VE.Bus firmware there is a changelog document. You might like to read that document to see if any firmware upgrades would be beneficial to you.

If the version of the firmware installed in your recorder is lower than the latest version of the firmware available, please download the latest version of the firmware.

All seems normal so far (still configuring and setting everything up). If I have any firmware-related problems, I will come back and update; if I don't, anyone reading this can assume everything is OK with the new version.

Get the latest firmware for our Series 2000 devices and components to have new features, bugfixes and full compatibility of all devices with each other. The firmware update process is very robust, even a power failure should not damage your device. If your device does not start the application, but stops at the bootloader, then just try to reprogramm the firmware with our download tool.

There are very legitimate Security Risks about loading random firmware images onto devices like the ADALM2000, however, we decided early on that a learning tool must be open and accessible for people to experiment on. Please only use firmware images you have received from trusted locations.

analog@imhotep:~/m2k$ cp ./m2k.frm /media/analog/ADALM2000/analog@imhotep:~/m2k$ mount | grep ADALM2000 | awk '{print $1}'/dev/sdb1 analog@imhotep:~/m2k$ sudo eject /dev/sdb

Here you will find short summaries of changes between the different firmware revisions. Developers should read the detailed changelog found inside the respective update archive. To install an update, download and extract the archive, then run StnFirmwareUpdater.exe.

So, Once above sequence passes. Boot ROM will start loading the application firmware stored in I2C EEPROM with Slave address 0x50 to RAM and start executing the application. Is my understanding is correct ?

As per my understanding, CCS will generate .hex file and that hex file should be loaded into I2C EEPROM(0x50). Then only in boot mode, I2C Boot ROM can fetch the application firmware from EEPROM and loading into RAM and starts execution. So here my query is How to program my application into I2C EEPROM. Do we have any reference design I can use ?

--> Since in I2C Boot ROM, As well in TRM I found about Boot loaders. I couldn't find anything about Boot programmer. So Do I need to connect another microcontroller to the same EEPROM in MultiMaster mode and need to program the .hex file to EEPROM. or TMS320F2837xD can do this. If TMS320F2837xD can do How do I need to keep the device in Boot Programmer mode and update application firmware into I2C EEPROM. 2351a5e196
