Terms of Use
Effective Date: May 23, 2026
Last Updated: May 23, 2026
Welcome to Kanso. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Kanso mobile application ("App," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using Kanso, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. App Description
Kanso is a personal organization utility for iOS. The App helps you review and manage content you choose to access, such as photos, videos, contacts, and private media. Features may include similar photo review, large video compression, duplicate contact management, private album protection, speaker sound tools, and other organization features.
Kanso does not claim to clean iOS system files, boost device performance, remove viruses, or access areas of your device that Apple does not permit apps to access.
2. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use Kanso on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by Apple’s App Store Usage Rules.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, distribute, rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or misuse the App, except where such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law.
3. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for how you use Kanso and for reviewing any item before deleting, compressing, merging, moving, or protecting it. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and only with content you own or are authorized to manage.
Before using cleanup, compression, contact merge, or private media features, you should maintain your own backups. Kanso cannot restore files that you choose to delete if they are no longer available on your device or through Apple’s system recovery options.
4. Photos, Videos, Contacts, and Private Media
Kanso only works with data you allow the App to access through iOS permissions. Your photos, videos, contacts, and private media remain on your device unless a feature clearly states otherwise or you choose to share or export them.
If Kanso provides a private album or vault feature, access may be protected using device-level security such as Face ID, Touch ID, passcode, or other iOS-supported methods. Kanso does not collect or store your biometric data.
5. Subscriptions and Purchases
Kanso may offer auto-renewable subscriptions, free trials, or other in-app purchases. Prices, billing periods, trial terms, renewal terms, and included features are shown before purchase.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. Refund requests are handled by Apple according to Apple’s policies.
If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the free trial may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where permitted by applicable law and Apple’s rules.
6. Privacy
Your use of Kanso is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand what data we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
We do not sell your personal photos or videos. If we use analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or other third-party services, those services will be described in our Privacy Policy and App Store privacy disclosures.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use Kanso for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive purposes.
- Attempt to access systems, data, or features you are not authorized to access.
- Interfere with the App’s normal operation or security.
- Use automated tools to scrape, attack, or misuse the App.
- Upload, process, or manage content that violates the rights of others.
- Misrepresent Kanso or use it to deceive other users or third parties.
8. Intellectual Property
Kanso, including its design, software, graphics, text, logos, features, and related content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or bug reports, you allow us to use them to improve Kanso without compensation or restriction.
9. Third-Party Services
Kanso may interact with Apple services, iOS system features, or third-party tools such as analytics, crash reporting, or payment services. We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, or policies. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
10. Disclaimers
Kanso is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the App will identify every duplicate, similar, blurry, large, or unwanted item, or that every suggestion will be correct.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kanso and its owners, employees, partners, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of media, loss of profits, or device-related issues arising from your use of the App.
Our total liability for any claim related to Kanso will not exceed the amount you paid for the App or subscription during the 12 months before the claim, or USD $100 if you paid nothing, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
12. Termination
You may stop using Kanso at any time by deleting the App. We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms, misuse the App, or create legal, security, or operational risk.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute terms.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted in the App or on our website with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of Kanso after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the developer of Kanso is established, unless applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.
