What?
The Duquesne University American Chemical Society (ACS) Student Affiliates are hosting the 38th Annual ACS Regional Symposium. This will be an in-person event.
Where?
The symposium will take place at Duquesne University in the Power Center Ballroom.
When?
The symposium is Saturday, April 26th, 2025, starting at 9:00am and will be in-person. Mark your calendar!
Who is eligible to participate?
All STEM undergraduates who are currently doing research! (i.e. Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics, etc).
Why should I participate?
This is a valuable and exciting opportunity to present your research in a professional setting, practice effective communication skills, and receive useful feedback from judges. In addition, participants will have a chance to win awards for presenting outstanding research and various raffle prizes throughout the event. Refreshments will be provided in the morning and will be followed by lunch. For those participants who plan to drive to campus, parking will be validated. This event is entirely free to all participants, thanks to our generous sponsors: Duquesne University Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Pittsburgh ACS.
What are the deadlines?
Registration and abstract submissions (abstracts must be no more than 150 words) are due on April 11th, 2025. Use the QR code located on the flyer or click on the link "Student Form" above to register and submit your abstract!
What are the poster requirements?
Posters must be horizontal (landscape) and must be no larger than 36" by 44".
