Founder & Director | Senior Acupuncturist | PgDipHSc (Pain Management)
At Duplex Allied Health, Vivian Wang operates under a singular philosophy: there is no such thing as a "one-size-fits-all" treatment.
With over 10 years of clinical experience in New Zealand, Vivian is a distinguished leader in the field of integrated medicine. Her expertise is built upon a formidable academic foundation, holding a Postgraduate Diploma of Health Science in Pain and Pain Management from the University of Otago, alongside a Bachelor of Medicine majoring in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from Hubei University of Chinese Medicine.
Vivian is renowned for her highly individualized and custom-tailored approach. She refuses to use generic templates, believing that every patient’s constitution, lifestyle, and history require a unique blueprint for healing. In Vivian’s clinic, every needle placement and herbal formulation is meticulously adjusted to the person in front of her. It is this commitment to ultimate care and precision that results in her exceptionally high success rate—it is rare for a case under her care not to see a significant, positive effect.
Vivian’s reputation is cemented by her role as a board member for Acupuncture NZ (ACNZ), the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS), and the International Federation of Health and Industry Alliance (IFHIA). Beyond her titles as a board member and former lecturer, her true impact is seen in her clinical results:
Pain Reversal: Successfully treated a patient with femoral head necrosis and severe limping, restoring normal walking ability in just 4 sessions.
Chronic Relief: Helped a young girl suffering from debilitating migraines for 10 years achieve a pain-free life after 12 sessions.
Maternal Support: Guided a 39-year-old expectant mother through a healthy pregnancy and toward a painless delivery using specialized acupuncture protocols.
Neurodiversity & Wellbeing: Provided significant relief for teenagers with ADHD, with patients reporting a profound sense of mental clarity and "lightness" following treatment.
Specializing in stubborn pain, women’s health, and adolescent mental wellbeing, Vivian combines the rigor of university-level research with the intuitive wisdom of TCM. She is dedicated to being the last stop on your journey to wellness, providing the professional expertise and clinical experience necessary to safeguard the health of you and your family.
