RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES

At its core, research is how we seek truth in medicine and science. It’s the structured process of asking questions, testing ideas, and generating knowledge — to improve how we understand disease, diagnose it, treat it, and ultimately improve human lives.

We do research because:

Graduate students:
Our faculty are currently taking on graduate students. Please reach out to us to explore possibilities. One needs to apply for admission via http://www.einstein.yu.edu/education/phd/phd-program/ (it is important you mention our names (Biomedical Imaging faculty) and strongly express who you may want to work for). Write me to follow. up.

Medical students:
Our faculty are currently taking on medical students. Please reach out to us to explore possibilities. During the summer between the first and second year, students may be supported by a medical school research fellowship (4 awards to our group to carry out summer research). Longer term research projects lasting several months can be arranged during the fourth year of training. Students wishing to devote a full year to research are encouraged to apply for a mentored, funded Einstein research fellowship.

Undergraduate and high school students:
We host undergraduate and high school students around the country during the summer to perform research which usually continues during semesters. Many projects can be done remotely. You must be top >90% of your class, extremely motivated, and are willing to commit the entire summer and throughout the semesters when time allows (a few hours a week). Please reach out to us to explore possibilities. A few of our high schoolers were TOP 300 Regeneron Scholars (see News tab).

Our instutition also offer competitive stipends/scholarship for summer research experience:

Our lab also offers stipends for productive students, if budget allows.

We can also help to match you with other faculty in the department if you don't find what we do interesting.
