Welcome to my homepage!

I am an Assistant Professor at the Waseda Institute for Advanced Study (WIAS). Prior to joining WIAS, I was an Assistant Professor at the Keio Global Research Institute (KGRI) and a postdoctoral fellow at the Faculty of Economics, Keio University. I earned a Ph.D. in Public Policy from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS).

My research interests lie at the intersection of health economics and development economics, with a particular focus on issues related to health, education, and aging and retirement. My current work investigates the intergenerational effects of (i) education and early marriage, and (ii) natural resource booms on health and development outcomes.
