A massive result which secures the B Team's 1st Division status, and promotes the C Team, who couldn't have gone up if they had come down!? So next season we will have three teams in Division 1, number of teams entered and league construction provided. 

The match itself was not for the faint hearted. Keith's slip was followed by Josh's excellent, if not quite correct (?!), pawn-snatch win over one of the league's rising stars. The remaining two games were see-saw affairs that eventually went to theoretically clearly drawn posisitons from early endgame, but playing them on the board (and watching them!) is another matter! Both our guys had chances to win, but holding on, against significantly higher graded players, is a huge achievment, and it's not the first time that Ansh in particular has shown his cool under pressure. He was one of the mainstays in promoting the C Team, and now secured the point that puts B and C Teams in the top league! 

Certainly my vote for Player of the Season!
