APPLICATION CHECKLIST

☐ Create application account (Common App & ApplyTexas)

☐ Add colleges (Build Your College List of Interested Schools)

☐ Review each college’s requirements (All colleges do not requie the same information)

☐ Complete profile (Add all personal information and demographics)

☐ Enter activities/work/leadership (School and Community Activites or Volunteer Experience)

☐ Draft essays (Forward your essay to a Go Center Advisor or Teacher to help with feedback and guidance)

☐ Request recommendations (Ask a teacher, mentor or community member that can attest for your personality and leadership)

☐ Request/send transcript as required (Request through SchooLinks or Counselor)

☐ Check testing requirements (TSIA2, SAT or ACT)

☐ Submit application

☐ Save confirmation

☐ Create/monitor college portal (Each school you apply to will require you to create an account to upload information/pay deposits)

☐ Complete remaining financial-aid/scholarship steps (Keep Applying to Scholarships Year-Round!)
