If you do decide to do your own garage junk removal, you will need a few things to get started. First, go to your local Home Depot or Lowes hardware store and pick up the following items: bulk trash containers, cardboard boxes, plastic heavy duty bags, broom or large sweeper, roll off dumpster or trash dumpster, safety goggles, and heavy duty gloves are a must! Don't start your garage junk removal without gloves!
Here are the most important things to remember while completing the junk removal in your garage:
1. Place all glass or breakable items inside cardboard boxes.
2. The biggest items must be hauled off first, as they are considered bulk items.
3. Yard waste and garbage must be placed in plastic or paper bags.
4. Paint or liquids should be in plastic bags (hazardous waste removal).
5. All wood and furniture should be broken down, if possible.
6. Move your vehicle to the street.
7. Appliances should be set aside for proper bulk recycling.
8. All metals such as tin, iron, brass, copper, sheet metal, should be separated.
9. Dumpster rental or container rental might be an option for your trash or junk removal in Texas.
10. Non-recyclable items should be bagged with the waste materials.
11. Place the dumpster close to your work area
