The first four verses (1,2,3,4) and part of the bridge are just that, and the second part of the bridge[1] are all ways to die related to trains. The last song that was showed in this advertisement (there were three songs partly shown) seemed to have, if I rembere correctly, seemed to have the same melody as the refrain of the song "Dumb ways to die" ( =IJNR2EpS0jw). This melody just stuck in my head.

There is a wonderful tension between the macabre subject of the PSA and the innocence of the lyrics and melody. The deaths occur to cartoon characters shaped somewhat like jellybeans, which distances the gruesomeness of the subject but adds to the irony. The soft music and lyric might appeal more to the target teens than a stern voice-over and photos of the aftermath of train accidents.
