ABOUT US

Education today is an inescapable necessity for our survival. It is the fuel that drives us towards peace, prosperity, and progress. Providing quality education in a remote place like Kamalanagar, Chakma Autonomous District Council, Mizoram, may appear to be nothing more than a distant dream. However, Duloram Public Higher Secondary School (DPHSS), a co-educational institution with English as the sole medium of instruction, is firmly committed to transforming this dream into reality.

The school aspires to impart secular and quality education, with a marked emphasis on the development of values, discipline, and character, and, most importantly, on information and technology, under the guidance of a team of motivated and well-trained teachers.

Established in 2024, DPHSS stands as a tribute to the cherished memory of AJU (Grandfather) Late Mr. Duloram Chakma, founded by Mr. Digambar Chakma, the Founder of the Duloram Educational Trust. Every individual associated with the institution is regarded as a member of the Duloram Parivar (Family).

Our Academic Environment & Facilities

At our school, we are committed to providing a balanced and holistic learning experience that nurtures the Head, Heart, and Hand of every student.

We follow a 5-day working week, ensuring students maintain a healthy balance between academics and personal life. To promote mindfulness and mental well-being, Anapana Meditation is practiced for 10 minutes before and after school hours, helping students develop concentration, calmness, and inner discipline.

Our Open Assembly is conducted regularly, featuring mass prayer, attendance, news reading, recitation, drum practice, and other enriching activities that build confidence and communication skills.

Students are organized into four Houses to foster discipline, leadership, and teamwork:

🟢 Green House
🟡 Yellow House

Curriculum

The curriculum of DPHSS for the Higher Secondary Section is based on the syllabus prescribed by the Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE), while the Elementary Level follows the syllabus designed by the District School Education Board (DSEB), CADC. Along with the prescribed academic syllabus, the school follows its own well-planned curriculum aimed at the overall development of students.

Special emphasis is given to co-curricular and extracurricular activities such as parade, quiz competitions, extempore speeches, music, sports, and the celebration of all major national events. These activities are integrated with regular classroom teaching to promote discipline, confidence, leadership, and all-round personality development of the students.

Duloram Public Higher Secondary School is situated in the heart of Kamalanagar town of Chakma Autonomous District Council. With its location in the town centre, Duloram Public Hr. Sec. School is easily accessible to students and is situated in a cultural and social hub that can provide students with exposure to a variety of experiences that can enrich their education and personal growth.
