Hello Dulaney Key Club!
What a year it has been. Serving simultaneously on the district board and as a club officer has been an experience like none other. I loved being able to see the convention from the perspectives of both sides.
I am incredibly proud of how everybody represented Dulaney at the last DCON. 3 club awards, 7 officer awards, and a scholarship! I am speechless. I am so grateful to have had such a strong team alongside me to allow for this success. I remember the long periods of stress I had over so many different things about this club. I remember ranting about this club to my friends and family. I remember spending hours on end to make this club work. But, even though I remember all of this, my mind only cares to think about all the hard work, the perseverance, the passion, the strength, and the impact of the service that we did. By no means was I a perfect President, and I knew that early on. I set myself to a high standard and got burnt out when I knew I wouldn't meet these arbitrary expectations that I set for myself. It honestly wasn't until I embraced my flaws, I allowed myself to make errors, I held humility, that I felt like a good President. I'm proud of myself for everything that I've learned and I can say for certain that this club is unforgettable.
I say this story because I hope that it gives you a reminder that, despite the challenges you face, you will persevere. You are strong and you are amazing. I have seen the power that Key Club holds first hand and, with the talent I know exists in the club, your power is limitless. To next year's officers, your reign is going to be insane in the best way possible. Please remember that I am always here if you ever need advice, support, or any type of help. You will always be the brightest students in my eyes.
Yours in friendship and service,
Khizar Qazi
24-25 Dulaney Key Club President
