Beginning Square Dance Class Info

Introduction to Square Dancing:

• Duke City Square Dance Club is the largest club in New Mexico and has been teaching people of all ages to square dance for decades. By the end of the lessons, you’ll have learned the 54 calls (square dance steps) in the Social Square Dance level.

• No partner is necessary.  Experienced dancers will join the class members as they learn the calls.  There is technology available for hearing impaired students.

• Start Date: August 21st

• Class Schedule:

  • When: Every Thursday from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

  • Duration:  14 weeks

  • Location:  Albuquerque Square Dance Center

• Cost:

  • Full course: $120 for 14 weeks

  • Monthly: $45 per month

  • First Night Free: Come and try it out without any commitment

What to Expect

• Beginners Welcome: No prior experience necessary – square dancing is easy to learn and everyone will be guided through the steps by a trained caller.

• Sign-Up: Sign-up at the door.  If you cannot make it to the first night, you are welcome to come to the second night.  After that, the class will be closed to new students.
