Beginning Square Dance Class Info

Introduction to Square Dancing:

• Duke City Square Dance Club is the largest club in New Mexico and has been teaching people of all ages to square dance for decades. By the end of the lessons, you’ll have learned the 54 calls (square dance steps) in the Social Square Dance level.

• No partner is necessary.  Experienced dancers will join the class members as they learn the calls.  There is technology available for hearing impaired students.

Choose the Class That’s Right for You:

🟦 BEGINNING SQUARE DANCE CLASS

• • 14 Weeks of Fun and Learning

  • Learn the basics of square dancing in a fun, friendly, and easy-to-follow cl ass.

• Dates: January 8 – April (14 weeks)

• Cost: $120 one-time fee or $45 per month for 3 months

• • Perfect for those ready to jump in and learn the full basics of square dancing.

🟩 INTRODUCTION TO SQUARE DANCE

• • Try It for 4 Weeks!

  • Not sure if square dancing is for you? This short class is a great way to get started.

• Dates: January 8 – January 29 (4 weeks)

• Cost: $45

• • Participants may continue into the Beginning Class after the Intro if they choose.

• Sign-Up: Sign-up at the door.  If you cannot make it to the first night, you are welcome to come to the second night.  After that, the class will be closed to new students.
