Duke and Duchess Preschool has been accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
At Duke and Duchess, we have a simple yet beautiful motto: 'Intrepide!', or 'be brave!' In school we talk about how being brave or intrepid takes many forms. Being brave isn’t always a grand gesture; sometimes it just means ‘having a go’; attempting that difficult question, offering an answer in a lesson when you’re not quite sure - or simply trying something new.
We offer a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment in which this culture of intrepidness can flourish, allowing Duke and Duchess children to be brave and adventurous as they learn and grow.
Our priority is the happiness of our pupils. We want every child to feel safe and secure and endeavour to create a caring, supportive environment that enables each individual to develop and shine
About Me
I am Godwin Chilekezi Onuegbu. A professional Mathematics Teacher with 9 years of experience and also the head Teacher of Duke and Duchess Montessori School, teaching numeracy in the pre-school classes. I adopt the montessori style of teaching to enhance learning amongst children of less than 4years of age
One of the things i have learned over the years of teaching is that there is a general phobia for mathematics. This has been an age-long monster that every child will have to overcome.
This is a challenge we will conquer.
Duke and Duchess Preschool classroom, a warm and welcoming home base for learning through stories, songs and art, is paired with a state-of-the-art gymnastics facility. Our unique learning environment sparks physical growth and discovery while our creative curriculum, which combines the traditional and the progressive, supports each student’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth.
