Meet Altin - Your new Piano Teacher
I got my degree in Romania, Bucharest for Orchestra and Choir Conducting. Afterwards I worked as a teacher for kids for 5 years, then progressed into the title of a professor at the University of Arts for the next two decades. I taught piano amongst other subjects, as I also was invited to multiple locations to give live performances myself.
Last year, I moved to Charlottetown, PEI. In a nearby church, I noticed there were a lot of children, but by the time service ended, they had nowhere to play. I offered to the priest of that church to give free piano lessons to all the kids who wanted to stay after service, as their parents relaxed while getting some coffee.
Soon after, my after-church program became popular, and kids were coming to learn and understand more about playing the piano. Not only they learned something new every Sunday, but they also spent time away from their phones, and reconecting with the beauty of music.
As a professor of many years, now I have students greeting me from all around the world. This success shows me how broad the impact of music is. I have taught for many years, and getting positive and encouraging feedback shows how the professionalism, work ethic and delicacy of music impacts my students.
I learned how to play piano when I was young, and afterwards I continued pursuing it up to this day. My experience in playing, reading, enjoying and teaching music is broadened for over two decades and more. The more time passes, the greater my skills get, as I continue teaching piano to students.
