1. Introduction Dual Space ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. By using Dual Space, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
2. Managed Profile and Device Administration Dual Space uses the Android Work Profile (Managed Profile) and Device Policy Manager APIs to provide app cloning and isolation features.
Purpose: These APIs are used strictly to create a secure, isolated container (the "Dual Space") where you can run separate instances of your installed applications.
Permissions: We require the BIND_DEVICE_ADMIN permission to manage the profile. We do not use this permission to wipe your device, change passwords, or monitor your activity outside the Dual Space.
3. Data Collection and Usage
Personal Data: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information (such as your name, email, phone number, or contacts) to our servers.
App List: Our app reads the list of installed applications on your device locally to allow you to select which apps to clone. This list is never uploaded or shared.
Cloned App Data: Data generated within cloned apps (e.g., chat history in a cloned social app) is stored locally on your device within the Android-managed encrypted container. We have no access to the data inside the apps you clone.
4. Permissions To function correctly, Dual Space may request:
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES: To display a list of apps you can clone.
Storage Access: To allow cloned apps to save files locally.
Internet Access: To provide app updates or basic functionality (if applicable).
5. Third-Party Services While Dual Space itself does not collect data, the third-party apps you choose to clone (e.g., WhatsApp, Facebook) will collect data according to their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the data practices of cloned applications.
6. Security We leverage the native security of the Android Operating System's Managed Profiles to ensure that your Dual Space is isolated from your main personal profile.
7. Data Retention and Deletion We do not store your data on any cloud servers. All configuration is local. If you delete the "Dual Space" work profile via the app or your device settings, all data within that profile is permanently erased by the Android system.
8. Children’s Privacy Our services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
