Writing
Students will practicing writing personal narratives
Reading logs are sent home the last Friday of every month and due the first Friday of the following month. One picture on the log will be colored for every 20 minutes of reading. Reading logs will need to signed by the parents before they are sent back to school. Please make sure your child is reading and not just coloring the reading log, honesty is part of our faith.
March reading logs are due Friday (April 3rd)

Learning Objective- Add and subtract multiples of ten from decade numbers. Write and solve equations that match the word problems.
Lesson 12.4 : Use a Hundred Chart to Add
Learning Objective- Use a hundred chart to add ones and tens to a two-digit number and write the equation that matches the problem.
Lesson 12.5 : Represent Addition with Tens and Ones
Learning Objective- Use concrete models to add multiples of ten or ones to two-digit numbers and write equations to solve the problem.
Lesson 12.6 : Represent Make Ten to Add
Learning Objective- Add a two-digit number and a one-digit number by making a ten using concrete models and visual models and write an equation to show the problem.
Lesson 12.7 : Represent Make Ten to Add with a Visual
Learning Objective- Use an open number line to add tens and ones to two-digit numbers by making a ten and write an equation to show the problem.
Lesson 12.8 : Use mental math to find 10 less or 10 more
Learning Objective- Use mental math to find 10 less than and 10 more than a number.
***After each lesson, a practice worksheet will be assigned as homework, the kids need to bring it back the next day for a grade. ***
Assessment:
Each module will have TWO assessment forms (A and B) Form A, will be sent home for homework, we will go over it in class. The students will correct the form and take it home for review. Form B will be the test the kids will be graded on.
Math tests will be given on TUESDAYS, unless the teacher informs you otherwise.
