2024 Season

Hello everyone,

Saturday's home soccer game is youth night/beat cancer night. Local youth get in for free when they wear their jersey. They can take open shots at half time of the varsity game. Beat Cancer shirts will be on sale to help support Mini-Thon. We will also be launching Beat Cancer shirts into the stands.

JV game is at 5:30 and Varsity is at 7:00.

We need help in the concession stand and donations for the concession stand. Please view both links.

Player ads - often senior parents take advantage of this option

- if you own a business and would like to advertise while supporting Boys soccer via the soccer program, ad space is available, priced per page size - see attached form

- if you work for a business that may want to advertise and support Boys Soccer, ad space is available

Payment for content to be added to the program can be submitted via venmo @Dtown-BoysSoccerBoosterClub or check made out to Dallastown Boys Soccer Booster Club and given to Heather Barr

Any content you would like to add to the program must be submitted by SEPTEMBER 20th at the latest. By adding content you are supporting your player, the team and making it possible to create this memorable program!

3. Upcoming Events with Home Games

- Saturday September 21st - Youth Night and Beat Cancer Night

- Youth soccer players: attend the game with no admission fee when they wear their soccer jersey, walk the field for the team introduction and national anthem, and take PK kicks on the field during half-time.

- Help raise awareness and donations the "Beat Cancer' campaign

- Monday September 23rd - Teacher Appreciation Night

- Enjoy a presentation of our senior players/managers and the teachers they chose to honor during Teacher Appreciation Night

- Ceremony takes place prior to the Varsity game

- Thursday October 3rd - Senior Night

- Join us as the Senior Players and Managers are celebrated

- Parents/guardians of senior players/managers attend/participate in this event to escort their son through the procession (please be there by 630pm to review the process and prepare for this event)

Good morning everyone, if you ordered from the Zooks fundraiser, you can pick up your items at the grass fields on Wednesday, September 11th at 5:00. Please bring along your payment (I know a few folks already paid through venmo). You can pay with a check made to DBSBC or venmo.

We are in need of a few people to help sort the orders that day. We will be at the grass fields at 4:00 to do so. If you can help, please text Becky 717-873-2095.

Reminder of our booster meeting... September 11th. Please come to the middle school lobby. Doors open at 6:45 and the meeting promptly begins at 7:00 in Coach Herrington's room.

Lastly, If somebody saw a white and gray baseball cap that says "mussel up" in the concession stand on Saturday could you please let Matt Ashton know. He left it there during his varsity shift.

Our home game on Thursday is a Cat Packs night. Please read the attached flyer as to how you can help. All of your donations help benefit students in our own district. Cat Packs thanks you for all of your help!!

Also that evening, we are declaring it as a Blue Out Game. Please show your support and wear blue. Again please refer to the attachment.

Last, we are still in need of parents to help with pictures. If you have a camera or are willing to take pictures during a game, please let us know. A few folks have a camera that you can borrow during the game. We hope to capture pictures of all the players!

Welcome to the Dallastown Boys Soccer Booster Club

Hello, parents and guardians of our 2024 Dallastown High School Soccer Team!

We are VERY excited to get the season underway and we cannot wait to see all of you very soon. Our Annual Meet the Team will be held Saturday, August 17th following the JV scrimmage. This will be a day of soccer. The boys have team pictures that morning at 8:45, varsity scrimmages Manheim Township at 10, followed by JV at 11:30. Meet the team will occur shortly after the game, which we will then roll into our 3rd annual Kickin It Event (1-3). We are providing lots of information and details regarding the activities of the Dallastown Boys Soccer Booster Club in this email. We will share more details on the content of this email and more during the Meet the Team event. We look forward to seeing as many of our parents and guardians on Saturday.

The Purpose of Booster Club

The function of the Booster Club is to amplify the vision and voice of our Coach and to support the Dallastown High School Soccer Team in any facet we are able to do. We seek to cooperate with the coaches, athletic director, administration, and school board. We strive to communicate the value of participation and team spirit.

A major focus of the Booster Club is to raise money for whatever the team may need. In the past, the funds we have raised have provided the team with T-shirts, banquet tickets, end-of-season awards, player gifts, appreciation gifts for the coaches, the concession stand, and so much more.

We are not able to maintain our purpose and vision without your participation. Throughout the season you will be asked to participate by donating your time and talents. Please remember everything we do is a vital part of the success of our soccer program.

Please support our 2024 Boys Teams by becoming a Booster Club Member! Membership donations help the Club pay for the cost of player T-shirts, team supplies and coaching needs, player banquet tickets, awards, player gifts, scholarships for senior players and many other things we do for the boys during the soccer season.

We have planned several events and fundraisers this year. Our events are intended to be family friendly, fun, and promote togetherness between the team and its supporters. Concession Stand

The Concession Stand is the Booster Clubs most visible and largest fundraiser that we coordinate. Volunteers to work and donations are what make the Concession Stand be as successful as it is. We ask that everyone takes opportunities to work in the Concession Stand. Believe it or not, it is a great time to get to know one another and is a lot of fun.

First Fundraiser - Zook’s Amish Meat Pies and Apple Dumplings Sale

There is no time like the present to begin fundraising for the 2024 soccer season.

We encourage everyone to participate in fundraising. The first one begins with Zook’s Homemade Pies and Apple Dumplings. They are handmade in Lancaster County, and it has become our most favorite fundraiser in recent years.

Beef, Chicken, or Sausage Pies

All come in 6” or 9” sizes. Zook’s pies are made with chunks of meat, potatoes, carrots, and peas, all freshly cooked and added to our homemade gravy. Then pre-baked in our wonderful flaky pie crusts.

Delicious Apple Dumplings

Single dumpling and Twin packs available

Try our apple dumplings made with local grown apples, wrapped in our own sweet and flaky crust with a delicious home style syrup.

Welcome to the beginning of the fall 2024-2025 boys soccer season! We have a couple of items we need help with before the season officially begins.

We are beginning to Stock The Stand. Please use the sign up genius link to donate items to the concession stand. Drop off items at the stadium on Monday, August 12th 4:45-5:15 or Tuesday, August 13th 4:45-5:15. A huge thanks in advance!! Soccer: Stock The Stand (signupgenius.com)

We have many volunteer opportunities. Grab a friend and work together. We really need everyone's help to lighten the load. Committee instructions are available, so you don’t have to start from scratch.

Please consider 1 or more areas of need:

*fundraising coordinator- preliminary dates have already been selected along with businesses to use. We are not limited to these ideas.

*teacher appreciation coordinator- Cathryn Marsala needs help

*game day photographer(s)- more than 1 to help lighten the load

*senior night coordinators

*team banquet coordinator(s)- 2-3 volunteers

*team program (booklet)

*video/picture slideshow at the banquet

*lead to hang/take down senior banners for home games

*concession stand- volunteer to work the concession stand at least 1 -2 home games. JV parents work varsity and varsity parents work JV. You never have to miss your son playing.

*volunteer to video games- several volunteers, so Eric Barr is not watching all games behind a screen

*away meal coordinator(s)- includes get items for the meals that are dropped off at the gym lobby and have it ready for the players to pick them up before getting on the bus

*youth night/Beat Cancer night coordinator

Finally, the Kickin It Event is being held on Saturday, August 17th 1-3. This day will be a day of soccer!! The boys have team pictures at 8:45, 10am (varsity) and 11:30 (JV) scrimmage,

1:00 meet the team, which will roll right into the Kickin It Event . We need volunteers to work the concession stand that day. Please click on the link to sign up. There is no time like the present to begin fundraising for the 2023 soccer season.

Beef, Chicken, or Sausage Pies

All come in 6” or 9” sizes.

Zook’s pies are made with chunks of meat, potatoes, carrots, and peas, all freshly cooked and added to our homemade gravy. Then pre-baked in our wonderful flaky pie crusts.

Delicious Apple Dumplings

Single dumpling and Twin packs available

Try our apple dumplings made with local grown apples, wrapped in our own sweet and flaky crust with a delicious home style syrup.

We would like to start off by congratulating each boy that successfully earned a roster spot on the Junior High Team. For some, this is a continuation of their soccer journey. For others, this is the beginning. Congratulations.

To join, the membership costs $20, and goes to provide warm-up Jerseys for the boys that they will get to keep and an end of the season Pizza Party. 3. Spirit Wear - We will be releasing a Spirit Wear store for you to purchase logo apparel. 2 the Tee provides this store for us and as soon as the store is open, we will share more information and a link to the store.

4. Away Game Meals - We work with Sue's Sandwiches in Wrightsville to secure a bagged meal for each boy that decides to participate in the Away Game meal program. Moving on to the Semifinals round of the YAIAA Tournament and playing at York Catholic, the regular away game meal will be provided to players who will be playing in Thursday night's away game. Ads can be for players and/or to advertise businesses that support our soccer club. So, if you have a business or work for one that would like to help sponsor the team, have an ad placed!

Player ads can include pictures of your player (number of pictures depends on the size of the ad) as well as text. You can send images already created or hard copy pictures.

Additionally, senior players will have a page in the program with their individual soccer photo, a bio, and other pictures you provide. Coming soon will be a link for you/your senior player to write their bio and provide pictures. A condensed version of the bio will also be read at senior night with player introductions!
