Team Roles & Definitions

Deliberator Role: Works with other Deliberators on the Team to produce an Outcome Resolve

Observer Role: Gives feedback about the Team's process (is it working, why? why not?) and what is happening in other Teams that is of interest

Team Lead: Each Team appoints an Team Lead among the Deliberators. The Team Lead convenes the Team to meet (in person, virtually or both), makes sure people "show up" and that the Team's Outcome Resolve is ready by the end of each of the three iterations

Scribe: Each Team appoints a Scribe who will ensure ideas are captured and that the Team's Outcome Resolve is posted.

Outcome Resolve: What the Team proposes to do about it's Topic.

Iteration: The Summit goes through three work iterations. In each one, each Team produces a progressively more detailed, action-oriented Outcome Resolve.

Process Review

First Iteration: Each Topic Team

• confirms/adjusts the focus of their Topic based on comments/suggestions received;
• posts the revised Topic description;
• develops a first draft of the Team's Outcome Resolve & posts it, and
• receives consent/object feedback from all the Participants as input to the second iteration

Second Iteration: Each Topic Team

• works with the feedback received to adjust and flesh out their Outcome Resolve
• the Team's goal is to achieve full consent
• develops a second draft of the Team's Outcome Resolve & posts it, and
• receives consent/object feedback from all the Participants AND the community as input to the final iteration

Third (final) Iteration: Each Topic Team

• works with the feedback received to finalize their Outcome Resolve
• the Team's goal is to achieve full consent
• develops the final version of the Team's Outcome Resolve & posts it.
