The activities in the slideshow below will be part of our "sandbox time" - where we will explore the design thinking process through learning stations (time to play!). You will find printouts of these slides, as well as supplies, throughout the room. However, a few of them contain links, which are easier to access here.
Many of these activities will be more useful if you do have an issue at your school in mind- it could be the big problem we identified together, or could be something that affects your learning environment. You are encouraged to collaborate on these activities!
Each part of the DT process can be a stand-alone activity. Each step still works to develop the mindsets we want to cultivate in our learning environments.
There are SO many design thinking activities out there. So many, in fact, it can be difficult to determine where (or who) an idea originally came from! Though I try to give credit to sources in the notes of the above slides, I am sure I missed some.
See the Resources page for a list of some of my favorite design thinking resources, including many from which these activities were adapted.
