What We Do

The DSMS PTA’s mission is to support and celebrate teachers and staff, provide an avenue for parents to get involved, and implement state and national PTA programs.   We hold one main fundraiser each fall and several small fundraisers throughout the year.  The money we raise goes directly to the school.

• Teacher Mini Grants in both the Fall and Spring

• Help fund Grade-Level Projects, the GT Program, and CL&I requests

• Spelling Bee

• Reflections Program

• Help fund Field Trips

• Campus Beautification

• School-wide STEM Purchases

• STAAR Week Snacks

• Teacher Appreciation Week treats

• All-Staff Meals in early August, late August, and late-May

• Homecoming Float

• 8th Grade Homecoming Float
