More information about this project:
I started building Jurassic World in June 2020. It started as a concept, to make one of the most detailed Jurassic maps for Minecraft Bedrock. While many different creations have been built for Minecraft Java Edition, there was a lack of content for Bedrock. Many different categories of builds had not been attempted yet. Also, I found that a 'ruined' version of Jurassic World could not be easily found, even within Java Edition maps. So, I started constructing one, and it slowly grew into what it is today, using inspiration from outside sources, and other popular YouTubers creating Jurassic World maps.
As a fan of Jurassic Park and Jurassic World, this is obviously not my first attempt at constructing the park. When I got Minecraft, one of the first things I did (after building a house and other basic creations) was to download Jurassicraft and build a rudimentary theme park. While basic even for those times, it was my first foray into such themed builds. I tried again in 2019, still making a rather simple looking park, and yet again in early 2020. However, that attempt did not leave me enough space to even build the central lagoon area, so I turned to Worldpainter to create a custom Isla Nublar island. While not on a 1:1 scale, it left me enough space to build a park, and provided a gorgeous background to the different structures I would build, forming the basis for a new map.
Additional pictures of these attempts at creating Jurassic Park/World can be seen in the Gallery, and more information about the park itself can be found in the MCPEDL description or inside the map itself.
