HOUSES

Like Harry Potter, DSHA Latin has a house system that every class participates in. In the beginning of the school year, students in Latin I randomly pick their houses during the sorting ceremony. The house the student is placed into stays their house for the following years they are in Latin. The four houses include Aquila, Hyrax, Leo, and Serpens.

4The houses compete in a House Cup twice during the school year (once per semester), and every student is able to participate. You earn house points by answering pop questions, winning Kahoots, and more! Once the semester ends, the points reset. Tabula Rasa!

The house with the most points is dubbed the winner and earns an ice cream party as a reward.

It's a friendly competition between classes and helps to create better bonds between students.
