St.Francis de Sales was born on 21 August 1567 in Savoy, France. He was ordained a priest in 1593 and volunteered to be a missionary among the Calvinist to spread the true love of Christ among the people. In 1602, he was consecrated the Bishop of Geneva. Through his classics, Love of God, and Introduction to Devout Life he has shown to the world that the path to holiness is reachable to all. He died in 1622 and was later declared a saint in 1966.
Fr.Charles Cavina was born on 29 August 1820 in Castlebolongnese, Italy. He was ordained a diocesan priest on 10 June 1843. He offered his life earnestly for Christ with a sense of deep faith, unconditional love and an uncompromising spirit of sacrifice. Imbibed by the apostolic zeal of St.Francis de Sales for the glory of God and the good of the brethren he founded the Congregation of the Daughters of St.Francis de sales on 23 August, 1872 to continue the selfless service through the members of the Congregation. Fr. Charles Cavina died on 15 September, 1880.
