The genesis of the DSC Sparks of Love Foundation was birthed from a need to help people from whichever strata of life they are from, as such the DSC Sparks of Love Foundation was created to facilitate humanitarian ventures. We are a nonprofit organization that aims to bring back love in communities. Its aim through volunteerism is to help the needy and less fortunate by embracing love through the giving of services as well as material items. 

DSC Sparks of Love Foundation is a family-oriented initiative whose unwavering desire is to build the Jamaica land we love and rescue people from all over the world, whether physically, emotionally, or mentally. We will do this by working with today's youth. Changing their lives by helping them to change the lives of others.

We have identified the inexhaustible problems that plague Jamaica and many other countries across the world. Some of these problems are:

1. Violence against women/men/children

6. Teenage pregnancy

9. Mental Health Illness 

Therefore, we sought to create this foundation to address these issues by building a foundation that will help others who have a burning desire to cater to the needs of humanity. We promise to love, counsel, care, rebuild, nurture, motivate, reassure, and, most of all, create a better person one day at a time.

Our Mission 

To create an atmosphere of belonging for the homeless and unattached youths who face victimization within this world by helping others save the lives of these persons whether physically, psychologically, or educationally.

Our Aims & Objectives     

1. Provide others with the necessities of life. 

2. Restore peace within communities across the world. 

3. Reach out to those who have given up on life and are finding it hard to live again.

4. Extend love and kindness to everyone who seeks such. 

5. Motivate those who have no hope and are finding it hard to believe in themselves. 

6. Reassure those who suffer from loss and extend our unconditional love.

7. Comfort those who have been forgotten by humanity. 

8. Offer counseling with the aim of restoring one to their normal self so that they can contribute to society in a meaningful way.

Founders 

DSC Sparks of Love Foundation was founded by David Comrie and Samonique Comrie. David and Samonique are both married and share the same vision of "Impacting Lives - Touching Hearts.” They are certified chaplains who believe in going into unreached areas to help the poor and less fortunate.

David Comrie is an Ex-police Officer who was attached to the Community Safety and Security Department of the Jamaica Constabulary Force. Even before becoming a Police Officer and serving his country, particularly the youth, the less fortunate, young children, and women, which are all a part of his portfolio, he had the desire to bring forth change in Jamaica by targeting them. This desire led him to facilitate and develop cadet programs in schools and empower street youths, which led him to develop DSC Sparks of Love Foundation.

Samonique Comrie is a volunteer at heart and can be described as a woman who believes in selfless giving and change. With that being said, she joined her husband in this great foundation and stands as his backbone in the planning and implementation of DSC Sparks of Love Foundation.
