An annual contest that invites students from DSC communities to develop solutions for local community problems using one or more Google products or platforms.
It's DSC's drive to fulfill it's mission of bridging the gap between theory and practice for student developers.
Enable hands-on learning and inspire student developers to come together as a global community, learn, and build real solutions for real problems.
January to March 2020
The submission period opens on the 15th of March.
Submission Deadline is the 30th of March
Up to 10 Winning teams will receive a special curated experience with Googlers to celebrate the impact of their winning solutions
Winning teams will be interviewed and stories of their solutions published on Google channels
All teams with qualifying submissions will receive certificates of participation. Top 10 will be recognized for being the winners. There will also be additional prizes announced as the contest proceeds. Last years best performers got invited to Google I/O in California ;)
Focus on building a great solution to an impactful problem. The winning part comes later.
Identify a problem that affects your university, an NGO or local business, or your local community. There are no bad suggestions. If you have multiple suggestions, please refill the form for each suggestion.
You don't have to fill in a possible solution, but if you do have any idea, however absurd, on how your problem can be solved, then write it down. We will help you refine you ideas, brainstorm new ones and build a final solution through our workshops in the semester.
