Host Family Applications for Fall 2019 Group from Hangzhou High School
Hosting a student or teacher from China is a rewarding and culturally rich experience. During the 4 weeks that the Chinese students and teacher reside in Dover or Sherborn, they are expected to become part of your family, learning about life in an American home. During their stay they are expected to live according to the rules in your home and to participate in family activities. In addition to family outings and activities, the China Exchange program will also arrange many opportunities for them to engage in enrichment activities at the High School and in the Boston area. While in the States, the cost of room and board and any special family activities is covered by the host family. The student is responsible for his/her own spending money for personal items. The family is also responsible for providing transportation to and from school and to drop off points for organized activities.
If you are interested in applying, please download and fill out the Host Family Application and submit it, as soon as possible, to Janae Barrett at barrettj@doversherborn.org or Rebecca Waterman at watermanr1@doversherborn.org. Thank you for your interest in the China Exchange!
We would like to say THANK YOU to our wonderfully generous DS host families of fall 2018! Thank you to the following families who opened their homes to our exchange students:
