You're Invited to the 17th Annual China Exchange Banquet

The 17th Annual China Exchange Banquet will be held on Wednesday, May 15 at 5:30 PM in Lindquist Commons. Please join us to celebrate another successful year of cultural exchange and sharing.

The ticket order form may be found here and should be returned by Tuesday, May 14 to Mrs. Waterman or Ms. Barrett at DSHS.

We hope that you will celebrate with us! All are welcome!

Student applications are open!

We are happy to announce that the applications for the China Exchange Program in 2020 are now OPEN to rising juniors and seniors at DSHS! If you are interested in participating in this unique experience, here is what you will need to do the following:

Review the FAQ document.
Complete the student application by Friday, March 29, 2019.
Contact Mrs. Waterman (watermanr1@doversherborn.org), Mrs. Barrett (barrettj@doversherborn.org) or Li Laoshi (liy@doversherborn.org) with any additional questions you may have.

Xiè xiè & Happy New Year!

First, we wish you all a happy and healthy 2019 ... full of adventures with the China Exchange!

Second, we would like to say THANK YOU to our wonderfully generous DS host families of fall 2018! Thank you to the following families who opened their homes to our exchange students:

This year's Exchange students and teacher from Hangzhou High School will be arriving later this fall for a 4-week stay, and we desperately need host families. If you have a spare room in your house, please consider providing one of our Chinese visitors a place to call home during their visit here. About the Exchange

2018-2019 marks the 17th year of the Dover-Sherborn /Hangzhou High School China Exchange. Though the delegations are small, the impact of the program has been immense. More than 350 people have been directly involved in the exchange as students and family hosts in Hangzhou and Dover/Sherborn MA. About 10,000 students have benefited, and many high school/middle school teachers have had the opportunity to teach special classes for visiting students and teachers. The shared cultural experiences have been profound, with new levels of cultural understanding and lifelong friendships forged over just a few short weeks each year. (more>>)
