The digital and smart construction (DiSC) Lab’s work is supported by NSF, MDOT, ODOT, OHSP, NHTSA, and agency / industry partners, with research outputs spanning peer-reviewed publications, decision-support tools, DOT reports, and graduate student training.
Construction and infrastructure systems generate fragmented data across design models, field operations, agency records, cost histories, maintenance logs, and asset-management systems. We develop domain-grounded AI, BIM, and digital-twin systems that transform fragmented construction and infrastructure data into validated decisions for industrialized construction, lifecycle infrastructure management, and transportation construction markets.
