The development of the console is largely enigmatic to me, and Helen. What we can gain currently is that, during the late 2000's Nintendo had been developing a new handheld console as an upgrade to the DS. It would have been called the DSAI, which would use an experimental AI system, codenamed Snowflake. They hoped to make an AI that would be for the personalization of gameplay, assistance, multiplayer capabilities, and in order to give players a character to talk to. Much of the development of this console was outsourced to a small team of 5 in the US with unique capabilities. Andy F. was the leader, and Silvia Graye was the lead coder. Jeanne Heathers was also a coder, and Ava Lorde was an artist. Jack was also a member, who did several different things. They of course had other people working on it, but they were the main group. But, everything seemed to have stopped after both Silvia Graye, and Jack died during development, leaving an unfinished console, and a broken AI.
The main draw of The DSAI was it's AI, Princess Silver. An AI that seemed to function just as well as a human, acting as a friend, giving advice, and even being able to race against the player in multiple levels of difficulty. According to DSAI Updates, a human conscious may have even been used, but the former employee I spoke to refuses to say much. I'll have to look more into the DSAI Updates account in the coming days.
The AI functioning as the backbone of this console, Princess Silver is very enigmatic to me. Nowadays, when I try to use any feature on the console relating to her, they just don't function at all. But, that wasn't always the case, and she seemed to be present even recently, according to the DSAI Updates. But, somehow in the time she left the DSAI in her apartment, the AI either decided to stop working, or disappeared.
According to this art, which was provided by the dev I am in contact with, she was meant to have a blue dress, and purple skin strangely enough, or is it blue skin? Or, maybe it's the lighting, but I doubt it. Also, the detail of the darkened fingertips is downright strange, and almost out of place?
This model appears to be finished, but is a different build in comparison to the used model. It however, matches the official art more closely.
This model is the final version used in the actual console, but still notably an adjusted Princess Peach model, not matching the official art completely, and is unfinished compared to other drafts
Okay, so this one is just a random render the artist made, but I find it funny, lol.
This one is the concept art for the final Princess Silver design's model made by the artist of the team. It was never made, leaving her model unfinished.
A render I found of Princess Silver jumping.
This is a scan of one of the documents that my contacts would allow me to put here. Looking at the other ones, I can see why, but this is pretty relevant, I believe. So, it's cool. The render here looks like an older variation.
