Bio
Dr Xiao Ge is a lecturer at Hebei University of Technology, and a member of the Bridge Seismic and Vibration Control Research Team. He obtained his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Bristol, UK, in 2020, under the supervision of Prof Nicholas A. Alexander and Dr Mohammad Mehdi Kashani. He earned his Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2015. His primary research focuses include:
Seismic performance of reinforced concrete bridge piers under chloride ion erosion
Rapid post-earthquake damage assessment of bridge piers
Seismic performance of stainless steel reinforced concrete components
Numerical simulation techniques for reinforced concrete bridge piers
Dr. Ge has published over ten papers in authoritative industry journals such as Engineering Structures and Bulletin of Earthquake Engineering. He serves as a committee member of the Tianjin Earthquake Society and as a reviewer for journals including Engineering Structures, Structures, and International Journal of Structural Stability and Dynamics.
