Dr. Vinay Kumar Gautam is currently working as an Assistant Professor (Soil & Water Conservation Engineering) at the School of Natural Resource Management, CPGS-AS, Central Agricultural University (Imphal), Umiam, Meghalaya. Earlier, Dr. Gautam served at the Department of Soil & Water Engineering , CTAE, MPUAT, Udaipur, Rajasthan. Currently, he is involved with teaching, research, and extension activities. He teaches several soil & water engineering, farm power machinery courses and performs research on water quality and spring water management using remote sensing & GIS applications. He is also involved in the project of agro-waste management, like biochar application.
He was also selected as a postdoctoral fellow at Texas A & M University, Texas, USA. Dr. Gautam has good handling of surveying equipment and UAVs (drones) for agriculture.
Dr. Gautam has collaborated on his research with several leading institutions worldwide. He has published more than 20 peer-reviewed research articles in significant research journals and serves on the editorial board of many reputed journals, magazines and newspapers.
