About Me:-
My name is Vedika Gupta. I am working with Jindal Global Business School as Assistant Professor. I have around 8 years of teaching and research experience. I have completed Ph.D. from National Institute of Technology Delhi (NIT Delhi) and M.Tech and B.Tech from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.
Prior to joining Jindal Global Business School, I held the position of Assistant Professor at Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering, New Delhi,India for 3.5 years. I am an active researcher with a demonstrated history of working in the government administration industry, skilled in Research and Development (R&D), Data Analysis, Engineering, and Programming. Strong research professional with a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD focused in Computer Science from National Institute of Technology Delhi. The title of my Ph.D thesis is "Linguistic Approaches for Sentiment Analysis of Social Media Data".
My Vision:-
My teaching methodology is majorly based on practical knowledge. As far as research is concerned, I take experimental research as fun. There's always an unexpected challenge which requires an original and preferable quick fix. My specialised area of research is text analytics, emotion recognition, sentiment analysis and information retrieval.
The ultimate goal of a teaching and research is to present an original contribution to your study field. To fulfil this requirement, certain intellectual boundaries have to be pushed, as we have to reinvent hot water every day, we have to cook food every day. In a similar fashion, I want to establish my original proposition to a specific problem in the computer science domain and continue with my teaching and research in education field.
