About Dr. Upendra Kumar

Currently, I am working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Science at Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad, Jhalwa, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh (India). Mine wide research areas are mostly in the field of Experimental Condensed Matter Physics and Materials Science. I have earned my bachelor's degree in Physics with honors and master's degree in Solid State Physics from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) Varanasi in 2012 and 2014, respectively. After that, enrolled in the Department of Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi for my doctoral (Ph.D.) degree and completed in April 2019. During my Ph.D., mine research interest is focused on Ruddlesden-Popper (RP) oxide and Perovskite Oxide materials.

Before joining IIIT Allahabad, I was working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Science at Banasthali Vidyapith (Deemed to be University) for 2 year. During mine teaching career at Banasthali Vidyapith, I was showing my active participation not only in teaching and research, but also in the administrative responsibility such as coordinator of NAAC, university teaching quality assurance centre, etc. I was also explored my research at Banasthali Vidyapith on ferrites, energy harvesters, and energy storage technologies such as Li-ion batteries, supercapacitors, and solid oxide fuel cells. His research has been published in prestigious international SCI publications of Physics and Materials Science.

He has also had an impact by attending numerous scientific conferences/seminars/workshops. He has received numerous national and international awards in the field of materials science. He serves on a number of National Committees, Professional Bodies, and Associations.
