Hello there. Welcome to my site.
I am an Assistant Professor at Wenzhou-Kean University in Wenzhou, China. I teach in the MA TESOL Program working with pre- and in-service English teachers. I love what I do here and sharing my passion for picture books.
Before I came to Wenzhou, China, I was a Fulbright Scholar from 2018-2020 serving in Taiwan. Prior to that, I taught at Texas A&M University-Central Texas as an Assistant Professor in the College of Education. I taught Reading, Writing, Curriculum & Instruction, and ESL courses to undergraduate and graduate students in the Teacher Education Program.
In Taiwan, I worked with the Fulbright ETA program which is the second largest ETA programs in the world. I provided academic support to 128 ETAs along with a team of TEFL Advisors. I also gave many workshops on English Teaching and Learning in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

I love to read, especially picture books. They are beautiful, simple, yet deep. They teach us so much about life. They reflect our successes and struggles, joys and pains, and open our eyes and hearts to others' experiences and realities. They challenge us to question our biases and assumptions so that we can be better teachers and citizens of the world. And they are so much FUN!
