Biography

Tanweer Alam is an associate professor in Faculty of Computer and Information Systems at Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia since Dec 2013. He obtained the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2012, M.Phil. Degree in Computer Science in 2008, MCA in 2003 and M.Sc. in 2000. His research interests include Internet of Things, Big Data Analytics, Blockchains and Mobile Computing. He has published more than 35 peer-reviewed papers in journals and conferences, including IEEE, Scopus, and SCI journals. He is also the holder of 1 patent. His main research focus is on smart device communication, Blockchains, Mobile ad-hoc networks, and the Internet of Things. The main idea of his Ph.D. thesis was to generate a new generalized random mobility model that was flexible enough to capture different mobility scenarios and provide its long-run location and speed distributions by closed-form expressions for one-dimensional mobility terrain. Rescue missions, military scenarios, and even advertising schemes can benefit from his research. Currently, He is working on smart device communication on the Internet of things and Cloud computing using different methodologies. He has completed six research projects at the Islamic University of Madinah. Several high-quality papers are published/accepted in various reputed journals.
