Dr. Suresh Babu Kalidindi has obtained his PhD from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore in 2010 and has about 12 years of post-PhD research experience in the areas of Material Chemistry. During his post-doctoral research as Alexander Humboldt fellow (at Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems and Ruhr University, Germany), he has designed porous metal-organic frameworks (MOFs)/Covalent organic frameworks(COFs) for hydrogen storage and H2/D2 separation. Later, he worked with Prof. Matthew Rosseinsky at University of Liverpool as research associate and developed water stable MOFs with surface areas as high as 4000 m2/g. After this, Dr. Suresh has moved back to India and joined Poornaprajna Institute of Scientific Research (PPISR) in Aug 2015 as DST-INSPIRE faculty. Later, He worked at Andhra university as UGC-Assistant professor. Currently he is Associate professor at Central Tribal University Andhra Pradesh.
Dr. Suresh has published 42 research articles in reputed journals with an average impact factor of 6.6 . He also has 3 book chapter to his credit. He is a recipient of several national and international awards which include DST-INSPIRE Faculty Award, Alexander von Humboldt post-doctoral award, and best Ph. D thesis award(Prof. S. Soundarajan Gold Medal) from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.
Currently, Dr. Suresh and his group is working on hybridization of Nano materials with Porous Framework Materials to intermingle reticular chemistry and nanoscience, which will lead to new forms of functional advanced materials that find applications in clean energy, gas sensors, and nanocatalysis.
