BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT
1. Shave the Area
• Shave approximately 24 hours before your appointment.
• Do not wax, pluck, or use depilatory creams for at least 4 weeks before treatment. The laser targets the hair root, which must be present.
2. Avoid Sun Exposure
• Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning (natural or artificial) for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
• Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen daily on any exposed areas.
3. Avoid Skincare Products
• Do not apply lotions, creams, deodorants, perfumes, or makeup to the treatment area on the day of your appointment.
4. Avoid Photosensitizing Medications
• Let us know if you are taking Accutane, antibiotics, or other medications that may increase skin sensitivity. Treatment may need to be delayed.
5. Stay Hydrated
• Drink water and arrive with clean, product-free skin. Well-hydrated skin typically responds better to laser.
6. Wear Comfortable Clothing
• Wear loose, comfortable clothing—especially if large or sensitive areas are being treated.
AFTER YOUR TREATMENT
1. Redness & Sensitivity
• Mild redness or swelling is normal and usually subsides within 24–48 hours.
• Apply cold compresses or aloe vera gel to soothe the area if needed.
2. Avoid Sun & Heat Exposure
• Avoid sun exposure, hot tubs, saunas, and intense exercise for at least 48 hours.
• Use SPF 30+ sunscreen on treated areas if exposed to sunlight.
3. Do Not Pick or Scrub
• Avoid scrubbing, exfoliating, or picking at the treated area for at least 5 days.
• Avoid retinol, glycolic acid, or harsh exfoliants in the area for at least one week.
4. Expect Hair Shedding
• Hair may appear to grow or shed over the next 7–21 days. This is a normal part of the treatment process.
5. No Waxing or Plucking
• Do not wax or pluck between sessions. Shaving is allowed if needed.
6. Schedule Your Next Session
• Laser hair removal is most effective with consistent treatments every 4–8 weeks, depending on the area.
