I am currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in Physics, School of Advanced Sciences and Languages (SASL), Vellore Institute of Technology, Bhopal Campus, (VIT-Bhopal University), Bhopal-Indore Highway, Madhya Pradesh, India, since June 2026.
Prior joining in VIT-University, I was an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) at Saveetha School of Engineering, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Thandalam, Tamil Nadu, India, from March 2021 - May 2026. During my tenure, I also held the additional responsibility of Head of the Department of Computational Physics in the Institute of Science and Humanities (S&H), where I provided academic and administrative leadership, coordinated departmental activities, and contributed to curriculum development, research, and student mentoring.
I received my Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from the Centre for Nanoscience and Technology, Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, in 2012. During my doctoral studies, I was awarded the prestigious International Joint Graduate Fellowship (2010–2011) at the World Premier International Research Center Initiative – International Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics (WPI-MANA), National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Japan.
As part of this fellowship, I conducted research on mesoporous materials, with a particular focus on the synthesis of mesoporous metal sulfides (CdS and CuS) using SBA-15 mesoporous silica as a hard template. This research provided extensive expertise in nanomaterial synthesis, structural design, and the characterization of functional nanomaterials for advanced applications.
I have been actively engaged in research since 2012, with experience gained at several prestigious academic and research institutions in Taiwan. I completed postdoctoral research appointments at National University of Tainan, National Chin-Yi University of Technology, and Tunghai University, Taiwan, during the period from October 2012 to January 2020. These appointments provided extensive experience in advanced materials research, scientific collaboration, and interdisciplinary research projects.
I have been awarded with UGC-CSR fellowship from Govt. of India under the meritorious students scheme (2011-2012) to work at Department of Chemistry, Anna University. I have an experience on working in the single crystals of CMR materials in the project funded by Inter University Accelerator Centre, New Delhi at Crystal Growth Centre, Anna University (2007-2009). I have published 40+ international Scopus/SCI/WoS indexed journals including 10 SCI-indexed conference publications, (h-index 12). I have one published Japanese patent and contributing 4 book chapters. I have delivered various invited talks and have presented my research findings in several international conferences in India and abroad. I have organized several scientific events, like Seminars, Webinars, FDPs, etc.
