I am a landscape (agro)ecologist developing research on the impacts of land use change on farmland biodiversity and associated ecosystem services.
Since joining INRAE in 2007, I am leading research projects on the field-scale and landscape-scale drivers of arable communities (weeds, arthropods). I also focus on pest control services in farmland, with a focus on weed regulation by seed-eating predators. I am coordinating the French national long-term monitoring network SEBIOPAG and associated projects which focus on the management drivers of biodiversity and biological pest control at multiple scales.
Since 2019, I am an editor for Agriculture, Ecosystems & Environment.

Recent Post-docs and PhD students
Paul Bannwart started his PhD in October 2022 on the functioning of carabids and spiders populations and communities, in the context of a transition to agroecological systems.
Lucile Muneret worked as a post-doc in my team from April 2019 to February 2023 and is now an Inrae permanent researcher at Saclay. Lucile is a (agro)ecologist with a strong background in data analyses. She is interested in trophic interactions and pest control at multiple scales. In her new post at UMR Agronomy, Lucile explores trade-offs between biodiversity and crop production from local to global scales.
Emeric Courson completed his PhD in 2023 on the impact of landscape on pest pressure et pesticide use and demonstrated that increased hedgerow cover in the landscape reduces insect pest pressure and insecticide use in arable agriculture. He is now data analyst in the private sector.
Benjamin Carbonne completed his PhD on weed seed predation by carabids in 2021 and demonstrated the role of alternative prey on seed depeltion. He is now associated professor at Institut Agro Rennes Angers and develops research on chemical ecology for plant protection.
Severin Yvoz completed his PhD on weed (dis)services at the landscape scale in 2021. He now works at Institut Agro Dijon on spatial modelling of crop water deficit in the context of climate change.
